Autistic anxiety — 3 tips to manage it
Lessons from my recent Neurolinguistic Programming qualification.
Whilst receiving my assessment and diagnosis, I was recommended to do a Neurolinguistic Programming course — it was intended to give me some extra tools to help manage my life, but in the end I was so inspired that it has also turned into a “side hustle,” something I help others with too.
Neurolinguistic Programming (or NLP, for short!) is a model for understanding, changing and embedding new behaviours and thoughts in someone who is having undesired experiences, or is being held back by something. Typically, this involves experiences of trauma, fears and phobias, or mental health struggles.
It’s a really fascinating subject area and one I would advocate for absolutely anyone doing a course on. I got mine on Udemy for about $100 and it was worth every penny — it took me weeks to get through it all, but I was captivated so kept going. For someone who is great at starting stuff but terrible at completing/finishing, this should be a ringing endorsement!
